The Asmita League tournament has emerged as an outstanding platform for young athletes to hone their skills, showcase their potential, and build promising sporting careers, stated Priyanka Parihar, the sub-junior coach of the Kakinada Coastal Club.
Speaking on the occasion, she emphasized the developmental scope of the league: “Athletes performing well here gain a direct pathway into core training groups, opening doors to represent at national and international levels. The tournament setup is top-notch, offering modern amenities such as match video recording and technical analysis, official sports kits, along with quality food and accommodation for all players.”
Highlighting the shifting competitive landscape, Parihar observed that while teams from Kerala and Bangalore traditionally dominated the South Indian circuit, Andhra Pradesh is now staging a strong comeback across the sub-junior, junior, and senior categories. Expressing confidence in her squad, she noted that the young players are training rigorously and stand a solid chance of securing podium finishes and medals.Professionally, Priyanka Parihar serves with the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT).
